Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, Chartwells, is recruiting an experienced Catering Supervisor for school catering in Waterlooville on a part-time basis, 22.5 hours per week, 43.8 weeks per year.

You will oversee kitchens and service counters, supervise culinary teams, monitor KPIs, and uphold health and safety standards while delivering high-quality food and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of catering experience.
• Experience managing teams in a similar role.
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious food to the highest standards.
• Supervising culinary and catering teams to deliver impeccable food and customer service.
• Communicating with your line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Liaising between customers and the culinary and service teams to exceed expectations.
• Supporting and training teams, leading from the front.
• Implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards to ensure compliance across all catering and service teams.
