Job summary

Chartwells is seeking an experienced Catering Manager to oversee all catering and service operations for Compass Group UK&I. This part-time role is 30 hours per week, with a 44.5-week year and Mon-Fri days.

You will prepare delicious food to high standards, supervise teams, manage inventories and budgets, monitor KPIs, and uphold health and safety standards. This role offers progression within Chartwells.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 2 years catering experience.
• Experience managing teams in a similar role.
• NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Strong financial acumen and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious food to the highest standards.
• Supervising culinary and catering teams to ensure impeccable food and customer service.
• Overseeing in-unit catering operations, including inventories and budgets.
• Communicating with your line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Representing Chartwells within Compass Group UK&I and upholding brand image.
• Identifying opportunities for new food or service concepts to drive sales.
