Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is seeking an experienced Catering Manager to oversee all catering and service operations on a full-time basis (35 hours per week). You will ensure kitchens run smoothly and deliver outstanding food experiences while supporting and developing your team.

Qualifications

• Two years of catering experience or more.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong financial acumen and budget awareness.
• Experience leading and developing catering teams.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety standards in catering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food to high standards.
• Supervise culinary and catering teams for quality service.
• Oversee unit operations, inventories and budgets.
• Monitor KPIs and targets with line manager.
• Represent Compass Group UK&I and uphold brand image.
• Identify opportunities for new food or service concepts to drive sales.
• Coordinate between customers and teams to exceed expectations.
• Train teams and lead from the front.
