Job summary

The Education Authority is seeking a Catering Manager for the St Joseph's Primary School Lisnaskea kitchen. You will lead day-to-day operations, ensure food safety, manage staff, and deliver a high-quality school catering service for children and staff.

Responsibilities include menu development, portion control, allergen management, stock control and communications with school leadership to promote meals, themed days, and events. Part-time, 30 hours per week, in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 in food prep and cooking or City & Guilds 706-1/706-2 or two years’ catering experience.
• Evidence of effective supervision or management of a catering team.
• Experience in stock control, budget management and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menus, portion control, plating, and special dietary meals including texture modification (IDDSI).
• Organise and supervise all aspects of food service and dining centre kitchens.
• Ensure HACCP compliance and allergen management; maintain allergen matrix up to date.
• Manage deliveries, stock, and waste to minimize waste and ensure food safety.
• Promote catering service to parents, principals, pupils, and customers; coordinate theme days/events.
