Job summary

Aspens Services is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our school catering team in Nottingham. You will support our kitchen with basic food preparation and help deliver excellent service during the lunch rush.

You’ll work Monday to Friday during school term time, 15 hours per week, with 38 weeks per year. The role offers a consistent schedule, a £12.71 per hour rate, and full training to ensure service standards are met.

Qualifications

• Team player who thrives in a busy school environment.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service settings.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices in a kitchen.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is desirable, training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: operate tills during service with full training provided.
• Front-Line Service: deliver friendly, polite service to students and staff.
• Essential Support: assist the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining Standards: keep the kitchen safe, clean and compliant with health and safety.
