Job summary

Aspens Services is seeking a Catering Assistant to support our school kitchen in basic food preparation and to help deliver excellent service during the lunchtime rush.

You will handle till duties during service, provide friendly frontline service to students and staff, assist with food preparation, and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen in line with health and safety requirements. This temporary, term-time role offers 20 hours per week across 38 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or fast-paced service.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 training is provided if not held.

Responsibilities

• Customer interaction on the till during service.
• Front-line customer service to students and staff.
• Assisting team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining a safe, clean kitchen and meeting health and safety rules.
