Job summary

Nottingham Academy is seeking a Catering Assistant at its Nottingham Academy, Secondary Site, to join the team. The role is 18.75 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, supporting the Chef Manager and delivering meals with a friendly, efficient service to staff and pupils.

You will apply HACCP and health and safety standards, bring strong organizational skills, and demonstrate excellent hygiene and communication.

Qualifications

• Holds Level 2 Food Safety Certificate or equivalent.
• Has HACCP knowledge and understanding of health and safety in a catering environment.
• Experience working in education settings is beneficial.
• Excellent hygiene and safety practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Experience in preparing and serving meals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals for staff and pupils.
• Support Chef Manager to maintain high catering standards.
• Provide friendly, efficient service and maintain cleanliness.
• Work within a dedicated catering team with good organizational practices.
