Job summary

Nottingham Academy is seeking a Catering Assistant for the Secondary Site to assist in preparing and serving meals, ensuring high standards of service and hygiene. The role supports the Chef Manager and provides friendly, efficient service to staff and pupils.

Requirements include Level 2 Food Safety and NVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality (or willingness to pursue). HACCP knowledge and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety certification required.
• NVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality or willingness to work towards.
• Experience in education settings is a plus but not essential.
• HACCP knowledge and health & safety in catering essential.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Experience in preparing and serving food.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals to pupils and staff.
• Support the Chef Manager to maintain high catering standards.
• Provide friendly, efficient service and maintain hygiene.
• Uphold HACCP and health & safety practices.
