Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd is recruiting a Catering Assistant to support serving meals at our Cambridge boarding school. This is a 7-day operation with a 5 over 7 shift pattern, involving breakfast, lunch and dinner service, with potential evening and weekend functions.

You'll work in a fast-paced catering environment, maintain food hygiene standards, restock and set up service areas, and contribute to excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Teamworking abilities and listening skills are important.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced catering environment.
• Reasonable written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with serving customers and replenishing stocks.
• Prepare service areas for daily meals.
• Prepare, set-up, serve and clear food and beverages for meals and events.
• Maintain hygiene and safety practices and allergen controls.
• Restock stocks and manage waste and storage.
• Be flexible for evenings or weekends for functions and school events.
• Demonstrate reliable and professional presentation and behaviour.
