Job summary

Thomas Franks in Cambridge is seeking a Casual General Assistant to join our busy catering team serving breakfasts to dinners in a 7-day operation. You will help with serving customers, preparing service areas, and maintaining hygiene standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers flexibility with shifts across five days in seven, opportunities to develop food-handling skills, and a supportive team dedicated to great customer service and high standards of cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced catering environment.
• Team-based service with customers and stock replenishment.
• Adherence to food hygiene and safety practices; allergen awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with serving customers, replenishing stocks, cleaning.
• Prepare service areas for daily meals.
• Prepare, set-up, serve, clear, clean and store away food, beverages or equipment for events.
• Prepare basic food for sale, following hygiene standards.
• Restock and replenishment during service; anticipate customer needs.
• Manage rubbish appropriately; assist with waste segregation.
