Job summary

Walkwood Church of England Middle School is seeking a part-time Catering Assistant to support the preparation and serving of nutritious meals and maintain high standards of hygiene. The role requires teamwork, reliability and a welcoming dining environment for pupils and staff.

The post is term-time only with hours 8:00am–2:30pm, six hours per day, one day per week, preferably Monday. DBS checks are required and the school offers a supportive environment and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering and serving meals is desirable.
• Commitment to hygiene and safety in a school kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and serving of nutritious meals.
• Help maintain food hygiene and a clean dining area.
• Support the catering team and communicate with pupils and staff.
