Job summary

The Woodside Primary Academy is seeking a Catering Assistant to support daily meals for pupils. The role involves basic food prep, serving meals, cleaning and maintaining a safe kitchen under the kitchen manager.

This permanent, term-time position is 15 hours per week (11.00am–2.00pm, Mon-Fri) within REAch2 Academy Trust, offering a friendly team, professional development and a commitment to pupil wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Basic preparation of food under supervision of kitchen manager.
• Simple cooking duties under supervision of kitchen manager.
• Serving meals to customers under supervision of kitchen manager.
• General kitchen and dining room duties: washing up, moving tables and chairs, sweeping and mopping.
• Awareness of customer service needs and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• The basic preparation of food e.g. fresh vegetables, salads and fresh fruit under the supervision of the kitchen manager.
• Simple cooking duties under the supervision of the kitchen manager.
• Serving of meals to customers under the supervision of the kitchen manager.
• Others general kitchen and dining room duties e.g. washing up, moving tables and chairs, sweeping and mopping.
• With others cleaning the kitchen and its surrounds.
