Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in catering with good customer service and strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to connect with children and staff.
• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate or understanding of Food Safety.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience with Health & Safety procedures in a commercial setting.
• Understanding for the differing needs of young people with special educational needs.
• Passion for promoting healthy and balanced eating.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operation of the kitchen including preparation, cooking and cleaning to the required standards.
• Thrive in a busy environment and support colleagues to maintain high professional standards.
• Regularly lifting, moving and handling large equipment as part of duties.
• Follow written documentation for Health & Safety and Food Safety legislation and business requirements.
