Job summary

St Gregory's Catholic High School in Warrington is seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join the site team, ensuring a safe, clean and secure school environment.

Physical work and flexible shifts are required. This is a full-time, 37 hours per week contract.

School Caretaker - St Gregory's Catholic High School

The Role

The Governors of St Gregory's Catholic High School are looking to appoint a Caretaker to work as part of the site team to maintain a safe and secure school premises.

The post will include general day to day cleaning and carrying out minor school maintenance

Additional duties include the setting up and moving of equipment, litter picking and cleaning. It will be necessary to support the Site Manager to fulfil the statutory health and safety obligations of the school including acting as key holder to open and close the site as part of the team's daily routine

Using own initiative and being proactive working both as an individual or as part of a small team are key as the job entails working in a busy, fast paced school environment. The job does involve manual handling so any applicant should be physically capable and willing to adapt to undertake any necessary duties as directed by the site manager

Salary:Grade 4 - £25,989 - £26,403 (negotiable based on experience)

Contract Type:37 hours per week /All year round shifts to be worked between 6am - 6pm (flexibility essential)
