The Kings School in Pontefract is recruiting a committed Caretaker to help provide a safe, well maintained environment for students and staff. You will carry out reactive maintenance tasks, support cleaners, and help maintain security across the site.

The role is 22.5 hours per week all year round on a permanent contract with a rotating short-term pattern. The successful candidate will join a friendly school community and benefit from a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and well managed school environment.
• Ability to manage and supervise cleaning staff and ensure duties are carried out to a high standard.

Responsabilités

• The management and delivery of reactive maintenance tasks
• Undertaking compliance tasks as required and recording evidence on a computerised system
• Providing day to day supervision to a team of cleaners, ensuring duties are carried out to the highest standards
• Maintaining site security through locking and unlocking the school’s buildings, setting the security alarm and other security systems where applicable.
