Job summary

Redhill Primary School in Cannock is seeking a reliable and proactive caretaker on a permanent, part-time basis to join our friendly team. The role focuses on keeping the school site safe, secure and well-maintained at all times, with duties including opening/closing, routine maintenance and setting up spaces for events.

Qualifications

• Reliable and proactive caretaker for school premises.
• Part-time, permanent role based in Cannock.
• Experience in site maintenance and health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the school site as required.
• Carrying out routine maintenance, minor repairs and general DIY tasks.
• Ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the school grounds.
• Monitoring health and safety across the site and reporting issues.
• Liaising with contractors and overseeing works where necessary.
• Managing site security, including alarms and access.
• Supporting with setting up rooms and spaces for school activities and events.
