Job summary

Meridian is seeking an experienced School Caretaker to join a busy school site on a temporary/ongoing basis. The role involves maintaining the premises, ensuring safety, and supporting events with hands-on maintenance tasks.

Hours are 10:00am-6:00pm during term time and 8:00am-4:00pm during school holidays. A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is essential for the position.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Enhanced DBS on Update Service (ESSENTIAL).
• Experience as caretaker, maintenance, or facilities role preferred.
• Hands-on, practical approach with maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and minor repairs around the school site.
• Carry out basic plumbing and drainage tasks.
• Move furniture and equipment safely around the site.
• Support site security and opening/closing procedures.
• Assist with health and safety checks and reporting issues.
• Prepare premises for events and activities.
• Undertake other caretaking duties as required.
