Meridian Business Support is recruiting for a School Caretaker to join a busy school site in Middleton. The role demands a practical, hands-on approach to maintain a safe, clean and well‑maintained environment during term time and holidays.

Key duties include general maintenance, basic plumbing, moving furniture, health and safety checks and site security. Immediate start with a daily pay rate of £13.70–£13.92 and part-time hours. DBS Update Service registration is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is essential.
• Experience as a caretaker, maintenance or premises role preferred.
• Ability to carry out basic maintenance and minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and minor repairs around the school site.
• Assist with plumbing, drainage and cleaning tasks as required.
• Open/secure the site and support events or activities.
• Carry out health and safety checks and report issues.
