Marchant Recruitment is seeking a proactive Caretaker for a busy school in Hounslow, England. The role involves opening/locking the site, inspecting security systems, and performing general maintenance to ensure buildings and grounds are well-kept.

You will need practical maintenance skills, a flexible approach, and the ability to prioritise tasks. An enhanced DBS check is required, and previous school experience is advantageous. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within 72 hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in caretaking, site maintenance or facilities support.
• School experience would be particularly useful.
• An enhanced DBS check is required.
• Must be reliable and follow safeguarding/site security procedures.

Responsabilités

• Opening and locking the school site in line with security procedures.
• Checking doors, windows, gates, alarms and other security systems.
• Carrying out minor repairs, decorating and general maintenance.
• Completing regular site walks to identify damage, hazards or faults.
• Supporting the safe movement and storage of equipment and furniture.
• Monitoring contractors and reporting maintenance work that needs specialist attention.
• Maintaining outdoor spaces, entrances and communal areas.
• Assisting with room setups for meetings, school events and activities.
