Job summary

EQUANS is recruiting a Caretaker to be based in The Prescott School, Knowsley Park Lane, Liverpool, L34 3NB. The role is permanent and full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a salary of £25,113 per annum and a benefits package.

Key duties include opening/closing, security checks, reception, and contractor management. BPSS and DBS clearance are required, with occasional out-of-hours work possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in a trade or similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Health and safety experience, including manual handling and working at height, is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Understanding of COSHH guidelines and colour coding.
• Proficient use of email and basic IT knowledge.
• Enhanced DBS certification required; this will be applied for upon commencement of the role.

Responsibilities

• Open and lock the building, security checks and reception duties.
• Visitor and contractor management, porterage and routine site tasks.
• Planned and reactive maintenance, minor repairs and supporting community use of premises.
• Maintain site records, meter readings, and report incidents per health and safety procedures.
• Represent EQUANS professionally and pass BPSS vetting as required.
