Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a School Caretaker at Wooldale Centre for Learning in Northampton. This permanent, full-time post is 40 hours per week with shifts from 6:00am to 2:30pm or 12:30pm to 9:00pm.

You will follow Mitie policies, ensure building security and safety, respond to helpdesk requests, unlock/lock sites, and carry out porterage and room setups. You’ll also perform planned preventive maintenance tasks such as fire alarm tests and emergency lighting checks, with safeguarding and DBS

Qualifications

• Previous caretaking experience (preferred but not essential).
• Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality, with willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policy
• Ensure maintenance is completed in a timely manner and the security and safety of the school premises and grounds are observed at all times.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use if required.

We're looking for a School Caretaker who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules.
Hourly Rate of Pay: £ 13.85
Position Type: Permanent
Employment Type: Full Time
Total Weekly Contractual Hours: 40 hours
Shift Pattern: 6.00am - 2.30pm / 12.30pm - 9.00pm (2 x early - 1 late)
