Job summary

Croydon High School is seeking a reliable Caretaker to join the Premises team. The role covers security, maintenance, room and event setup, porterage, waste management and health and safety checks across the 20-acre campus.

You will also help maintain the school’s sports facilities and swimming pool and support the smooth running of school events and lettings.You will need practical handyperson/DIY skills, good organisational and communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of health and safety, security procedures and routine preventative maintenance is important, alongside a positive, flexible and professional approach. Previous premises caretaking experience, ideally within an education setting, is required.You will be joining an established and supportive department where there are opportunities to learn from experienced colleagues.
