Job summary

Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a role within the East Staffordshire team, covering Burton-on-Trent and Uttoxeter schools, to deliver mental health and wellbeing interventions for children, young people and families. The post involves collaboration with schools, teaching staff and partner services to embed proactive mental health strategies.

You will support early identification, delivery of brief interventions, and contribute to a digital and community-based offer

Responsibilities

• Prepare, plan and carry out individual or group therapeutic interventions with children, young people and parents under supervision from qualified practitioners.
• Complete planned reviews of care as required under appropriate supervision.
• Document and ensure standards of record keeping are adhered to.
• Participate in and facilitate parent support and parenting skills groups.
• Participate in completing and reviewing risk assessments of the child/young person in terms of behaviour or mental health in relation to their circumstances, with guidance from qualified practitioners.
• Take prompt action to communicate any changes in condition, liaising with team members and reviewing risk assessments/care plans as directed.
• Deliver and contribute to the development of evidence based brief interventions on health, lifestyle and behaviour related issues under direction of qualified practitioners, including brief advice, group interventions, guided self-help, signposting, creating resources and supporting digital offerings.
• Support the development and delivery of WSA activities and digital offers.
