Job summary

Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Assistant Education Mental Health Practitioner to join the East Staffordshire team, covering Burton-on-Trent and Uttoxeter schools. You will deliver mental health and wellbeing support to children, young people and families under supervision from qualified practitioners.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Experience delivering mental health/wellbeing support to children and families.
• Experience in educational settings and with risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and carry out therapeutic interventions with children, young people and parents under supervision.
• Complete planned reviews of care with appropriate supervision.
• Maintain documentation and ensure record keeping standards are met.
• Facilitate parent support and parenting skills groups.
• Contribute to risk assessments with guidance from practitioners.
• Communicate changes in condition and adjust risk plans with the team.
