Job summary

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust in Lambeth is recruiting an Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) to join the Lambeth Mental Health Support Team (MHST).

You will deliver guided self-help interventions to children and young people aged 5–18 in schools, both face-to-face and remotely, with supervision from a multidisciplinary team to promote early intervention and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HEE commissioned 1yr 'Education Mental Health Practitioner' post graduate diploma.
• Experience working with children and young people in educational/health settings with mild to moderate mental health problems.
• Experience delivering therapeutic interventions (Guided Self Help, CBT, parent work).

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 Guided Self Help to children, young people and families.
• Deliver group interventions and workshops for schools and wider community.
• Collaborate with education, social care and health colleagues to support access and engagement.
