Job summary

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Educational Mental Health Practitioner or Children's Wellbeing Practitioner to join the North East Essex MHST. The post involves working in schools to support children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties and their families.

The practitioner will complete comprehensive assessments, devise intervention plans with schools, and work autonomously within their scope of practice alongside education colleagues.

Qualifications

• Autonomous and responsible clinical practitioner within scope of practice.
• Experience delivering interventions in educational settings.
• Ability to travel across large geographic areas and work with families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and care plan reviews.
• Develop intervention plans in partnership with schools, children, young people and families.
• Deliver individual and group interventions for CYP with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
• Utilise ROMS and clinical tools to gather feedback and guide practice.
• Collaborate with EMHPs/CWPs and Senior Mental Health Practitioners to support learning and development.
• Participate in supervision and ongoing professional development.
