Job summary

BSMHFT in Birmingham is recruiting for a Band 5 Child Wellbeing Practitioner or Qualified Educational Mental Health Practitioner to join the MHST in schools across the city. The role combines school-based work, home working and team meetings, delivering low-intensity CBT-informed interventions and running workshops to pupils, parents and staff.

You will assess children and young people, provide 1:1 or group support, and help staff access early mental health services.

Qualifications

• Qualification from CYP-IAPT accredited training course (low intensity CBT therapies)
• Teaching qualification
• Youth Mental Health First Aid trained

Responsibilities

• Deliver low-intensity CBT-informed interventions in schools and settings.
• Conduct screening assessments of children and young people.
• Deliver workshops, assemblies and parent/family training as part of the Whole School Approach.
• Travel around Birmingham to schools and educational settings.
