Job summary

Hertfordshire County Council's Early Years Service, within Children's Services, is recruiting for a Project Officer to support planning, coordination and delivery of the School Age Childcare Programme across the county, including wraparound and holiday childcare. Stevenage/Hybrid location.

Starting salary £35,570 with potential progression to £38,510 per annum, 37 hours per week, Fixed Term/Secondment contract.

Qualifications

• Recent, relevant experience within childcare, education, early years or related sector.
• Experience working with a range of stakeholders including schools, childcare providers, families and partners.
• Good understanding of the childcare sector and access factors.
• Experience delivering programmes, projects or service improvements.
• Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative information to support decision-making and service development.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination and delivery of programme priorities across the county.
• Identify opportunities to expand wraparound and holiday childcare and address delivery barriers.
• Analyse complex information to inform programme delivery, risks, milestones and outputs.
• Strengthen relationships with schools, providers and stakeholders to promote inclusive childcare opportunities.
