Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting for a School Administrator to join a partner secondary school in South Yorkshire on a full-time basis, ASAP. You will provide day-to-day admin support, act as the first point of contact, manage records, and help with attendance and communications. A safeguarding focus and Enhanced DBS (Update Service) are expected.

Qualifications

  • Previous administrative experience, ideally within a school or education setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident written and verbal communication.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a busy environment.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education).

Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to the school office and wider staff team.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors.
  • Answering telephone calls, responding to enquiries, and dealing with correspondence professionally.
  • Maintaining accurate student and school records, ensuring information is kept up to date.

  • Using school systems and databases to record and retrieve information.
  • Supporting the organisation of meetings, appointments, and school events.
  • Handling confidential information appropriately and in line with school policies.

We're currently recruiting for a School Administrator to join one of our partner secondary schools in South Yorkshire on a full-time basis, starting ASAP.

This is a great opportunity for an organised and reliable administrator to become an important part of a busy school office. You'll work alongside teaching staff, senior leaders, students, parents, and external contacts, helping to keep the day-to-day running of the school organised and efficient. The role would suit someone with previous school administration experience, as well as candidates with strong administrative skills looking to move into education.

Your main responsibilities will include:
