As a School Administrator, you will serve as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and external professionals, playing an essential part in keeping the main office running efficiently. Serve as a key School Administrator managing the busy front-of-house reception desk for a large secondary site in Bury.
Handle incoming phone calls, respond to email correspondence, and distribute messages to teaching and pastoral teams across Bury.
Maintain accurate student attendance records and update personal files using school database management systems such as SIMS or Arbor.
Produce letters, manage school meal registers, and assist the finance team with basic purchase orders and invoice logging in Bury.
Ensure strict safeguarding procedures are followed by issuing visitor badges and checking visitor identification at the main entrance.
Proven prior experience working as a School Administrator, education receptionist, or administrative assistant.
Working knowledge of school information systems, preferably SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom.
Strong written communication and IT proficiency across Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Reliable availability from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, within easy travelling distance of Bury.
An Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service, or full willingness to complete a new check through Milk Education.
