Job summary

Qualifications

• Possesses advanced knowledge and experience as a commercial/contracts advisor/manager.
• Requires degree-level training or professional qualification.
• Experience in the Defence sector, including Cyber and Data.
• Understanding of company operations, products, customers and suppliers.
• Strong governance and lifecycle management knowledge applied to business objectives.
• Ability to engage and influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Influences governance decisions and mitigates business risk throughout the process.
• Promotes best practice and knowledge sharing across function and wider business.
• Develops negotiation strategies and obligations registers identifying key risks.
• Supports negotiations with customers and reviews commercial agreements (NDAs, Teaming, Collaboration).
• Guides Commercial team to achieve business goals as appropriate.
• Ensures approvals within delegated authority and escalates complexity or value when needed.
