Job summary

Sense is seeking a Play Activity Support Worker to join the Get Out There (GOT) service in Stockport on a permanent, part‑time basis. You will help children and young people with complex disabilities join activities and explore the community during Saturday sessions.

No prior experience is required as comprehensive training is provided; a positive, caring attitude is essential. You will support activities from baking and sensory play to outdoor adventures and social events.

Qualifications

• Attitude matters most for this role.
• Experience with neurodiverse children is desirable but not required.
• Willingness to attend training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Stay alongside participants to help them join in activities.
• Assist them to access the community with confidence.
• Support a Saturday social group with activities like baking, sensory play, dancing and games.
