Job summary

Sense is seeking a Play Activity Support Worker to join the Get Out There (GOT) service in Stockport on a permanent, part‑time basis. You will help children and young people with complex disabilities join activities and explore the community during Saturday sessions.

No prior experience is required as comprehensive training is provided; a positive, caring attitude is essential. You will support activities from baking and sensory play to outdoor adventures and social events.

Play Activity Support Worker – GOT Stockport £13.00 per hour | Permanent | 4 hours per week | Saturday mornings | Stockport

Have you ever wanted a role where you can genuinely make a difference, and actually have fun doing it?

We're looking for an enthusiastic Play Activity Support Worker to join our Get Out There (GOT) service in Stockport on a permanent basis. GOT supports children and young people with complex disabilities to access their communities, try new things, and live life to the full.

This is a part-time role of four hours every Saturday, perfect if you're looking for something regular that fits around other commitments. You'll be joining our Saturday social group, where we get stuck into everything from baking and sensory play to dancing and games.

The young people we support often have active, adventurous lifestyles; think outdoor sensory exploring, play parks, soft play, swimming, and jump parks. Your job is to be alongside them, helping them take part in the activities they enjoy and access the community with confidence.

You don't need previous experience in this field as we'll provide the training and support you need to become an excellent Play Activity Support Worker. What matters most is your attitude.

We're looking for someone who is:

• Positive and enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude
• Caring, empathetic, and passionate about enhancing other people's lives
• Willing to attend training as needed

Experience working 1:1 with neurodiverse children and young people is desirable.
