Job summary

Sense is recruiting part-time Support Workers for the Get Out There Group in Manchester. You will help children and young people with complex disabilities develop communication, independence and community participation. No prior experience is required as full training is provided from day one.

We expect Saturday and evening shifts, up to 8 hours weekly. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are advantageous but not essential; an Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sensory impairments or learning difficulties desirable; BSL bonus but not essential.

Are you looking for a rewarding role that makes a real difference to children, young people and their families?

Here at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. We're looking for up to three Support Workers to join our Get Out There Group (GOT) in Manchester. You'll be working with children and young people who live at home with their families, helping them build communication skills, develop independence and take part in life in their community. Every shift is different, and every person you support is unique.

No experience is needed. We'll give you everything you need through full training from day one. Working regular Saturdays and evenings, up to 8 hours a week, this is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking for flexible, meaningful work that fits around their life. Pay is £13.00 per hour.

Knowledge of sensory impairments or learning difficulties is desirable. BSL skills are a bonus but not essential. A driving licence and access to your own vehicle would also be an advantage, though not essential. An Enhanced DBS check for children and adults is required for this role.
