Job summary

Babcock International is seeking a Technical Training Instructor at HMS Collingwood to deliver engaging satellite communications training for internal teams and external customers. The role involves developing courses, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with engineering to gather technical insights while upholding security standards.

The position is full‑time on site, based around a 37‑hour week, with opportunities for professional development and extensive benefits within a defence‑sector

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Electrical/Electronics.
• Experience in Telecommunications and/or Satellite Communications and/or CIS.
• Experience of installation, test and repair activities.
• Experience of operating cryptographic activities.
• Regular light to moderate lifting required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality training on Satellite communications systems for internal and external customers.
• Conduct routine maintenance on training equipment and identify/rectify defects.
• Perform training needs analysis to identify practical solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams for technical insights.
• Attend meetings on behalf of Training Manager to assess training implications.
• Manage key and crypto material accounts per security protocols.
