Job summary

Babcock International is seeking a Technical Training Instructor in Fareham, Hampshire, to deliver engaging Satellite communications training for internal teams and external customers at HMS Collingwood. You will develop courses for new equipment and services and maintain training equipment on site.

The role requires collaborating with engineering teams, performing needs analysis, and handling security-critical crypto material while supporting national security objectives.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering/Electrical/Electronics.
• Experience in Telecommunications and/or Satellite Communications.
• Experience of installation, test and repair activities.
• Experience of operating cryptographic activities.
• Manual Handling; regular light to moderate lifting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging technical training of Satellite communications systems for internal teams and external customers.
• Develop and deliver high-quality training courses for new equipment and services.
• Conduct routine maintenance on training equipment and rectify defects.
• Conduct training needs analysis to identify practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to gather technical insights.
• Attend meetings on behalf of the Training Manager to assess training implications.
• Manage key and crypto material accounts in line with security protocols.
