Job summary

Mountain Healthcare is seeking a proactive Deputy SARC Manager to lead a multi‑agency service at The Horizon SARC in Birmingham. You will support the SARC Manager to ensure high‑quality care, smooth day‑to‑day operations and strategic development of the service.

You will manage people and budgets, foster strong partnerships with commissioners and police, and drive clinical excellence while safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Managerial experience is required.
• Driving licence and access to a car.
• Experience working with vulnerable people.
• Excellent communication skills and styles.
• Proven strong judgement and analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities that keep the SARC running smoothly, ensuring safe services in line with standards.
• Support the SARC Manager in leading a multi-disciplinary team across recruitment, inductions, training and wellbeing.
• Monitor service delivery, assess performance and implement improvements while maintaining budgetary control.
• Lead governance, incidents, complaints, QA audits, and compliance with ISO 15189 and regulator standards.
• Build relationships with commissioners, police and partner agencies to improve referrals and awareness.
• Oversee confidential information, forensic samples and records handling; ensure documentation and follow-ups.
