Job summary

Yorkshire Water in Leeds is seeking a SAP Manager – Security to lead the SAP security program and govern GRC across S/4HANA, Fiori, ECC and related modules. You will mentor a team, collaborate with IT project teams, and coordinate audits to ensure ongoing compliance.

This permanent role offers hybrid working (1 day in the office per week in Leeds), a competitive salary up to £90k, private healthcare, pension, life cover, and a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP Security and Authorisations experience.
• Experience with S/4HANA, Fiori, ECC, BW and SAP Public Cloud products from a security perspective.
• Hands-on SAP GRC (Access Control and Process Control).
• Deep understanding of SAP security auditing tools.
• Deep understanding of internal and external audit processes including compliance knowledge, controls frameworks and risk management.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical risks to non-technical business stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and maintain the SAP Security roadmap aligned with information security policies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of internal SAP security consultants.
• Own the SAP GRC module, managing SoD analysis, mitigation controls, and emergency access (Firefighter).
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits, ensuring continuous compliance.
• Work with IT SAP project teams to embed security requirements/design into all new SAP implementations, upgrades, and rollouts.
• Work with an offshore AMS security team on incidents, problems, role assignment.

Location: This role will be based in Leeds Valley Park - Hybrid Working (1 day in the office a week – Leeds)

The SAP team is part of the IT function and plays a key role in optimising and transforming our SAP applications and associated Enterprise Systems. We support business areas such as Finance, HR, Procurement, Capital Delivery and Asset Maintenance/Management. Our team consists of functional and technical consultants, along with support related roles in Project Management, Business Analysis and Service Management, the SAP Manager - Security will play a key role in the SAP Security team driving business change and being a subject matter expert for the technology within this space.

Where you fit in:

As our SAP Manager – Security you will:

What skills & qualifications you will need:

• 10+ years of experience in SAP Security and Authorisations, with multiple years managerial experience.
• Good experience with S/4HANA, Fiori, ECC, BW and SAP Public Cloud products like SuccessFactors, Concur, Ariba, Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, from a security perspective.
• Hands-on expertise with SAP GRC (Access Control and Process Control).
• Deep understanding of SAP security auditing tools.
• Deep understanding of internal and external audit processes including compliance knowledge, controls frameworks and risk management.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical risks to non-technical business stakeholders
