Job summary

Yorkshire Water is hiring an SAP Ariba Master Data Analyst to join the Finance team. The role focuses on maintaining critical master data, transforming data into insights, and driving governance across SAP S/4HANA and Ariba.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to improve data quality and provide analytical support for performance decisions. This permanent, full-time position offers hybrid working, with the office move to Leeds in 2026 and weekly Bradford/Leeds presence.

Location:

This role will initially be based in Bradford but we are moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in summer 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future - Hybrid Working (1 office a week - Bradford/Leeds)

Work type:

Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

Where you fit in:

As our SAP Ariba Master Data Analyst, you will:

• Play a key role in maintaining and enhancing critical master data across the organisation, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability.


• Transform complex data into meaningful insights, identifying trends and providing recommendations that help solve real business challenges.


• Create, manage, and maintain master data records across key business systems, including SAP S/4HANA and Ariba.


• Champion data quality by proactively identifying issues, driving improvements, and ensuring data remains fit for business use.


• Develop and continuously improve processes and documentation to support effective master data management.


• Partner with stakeholders across the business to resolve data-related challenges and deliver practical, value-driven solutions.


• Work collaboratively with IT and business teams to ensure data standards, governance, and system processes are aligned with organisational needs.


• Produce insightful reports and analytics that support operational performance and informed decision-making.


• Design, develop, and maintain standard reporting solutions that provide clear visibility of business performance.


• Support the development of data models and databases that enable efficient reporting and analysis.


• Contribute to the implementation of data standards, best practices, and governance frameworks across the business.


• Lead data cleansing and archiving activities, ensuring systems remain efficient and free from outdated or duplicate information.


• Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand business requirements and define the data needed to support key objectives.


• Respond to ad hoc reporting and analytical requests, delivering timely and accurate information to stakeholders.


• Take ownership of key data sets, including customer, supplier, procurement, catalogue, material, and contract data.


• Use data-driven insights to influence decision-making, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the achievement of business goals.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

• Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.


• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
