Job summary

Yorkshire Water in Leeds Valley Park is seeking an experienced SAP Manager – Security to lead the SAP Security roadmap and a team of internal consultants.

You will own SAP GRC, coordinate audits, and ensure security requirements are embedded in all SAP projects, including offshore AMS collaboration. The role offers hybrid working and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP Security and Authorisations experience.
• Experience with S/4HANA, Fiori, ECC, BW and SAP Public Cloud apps.
• Hands-on SAP GRC (Access Control & Process Control).
• Strong knowledge of SAP security auditing tools.
• Understanding of audits, compliance frameworks and risk management.
• Excellent communication with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and maintain the SAP Security roadmap.
• Lead and mentor a team of SAP security consultants.
• Own the SAP GRC module, managing SoD analysis and emergency access controls.
• Act as the primary contact for audits, ensuring continuous compliance.
• Embed security requirements into all new SAP implementations and upgrades.
• Coordinate with offshore AMS security team on incidents and role assignments.

Location: This role will be based in Leeds Valley Park - Hybrid Working (1 day in the office a week – Leeds)

Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

The SAP team is part of the IT function and plays a key role in optimising and transforming our SAP applications and associated Enterprise Systems. We support business areas such as Finance, HR, Procurement, Capital Delivery and Asset Maintenance/Management. Our team consists of functional and technical consultants, along with support related roles in Project Management, Business Analysis and Service Management, the SAP Manager - Security will play a key role in the SAP Security team driving business change and being a subject matter expert for the technology within this space.

Where you fit in:

As our SAP Manager – Security you will:

• Define, implement, and maintain the SAP Security roadmap aligned with our information security policies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of internal SAP security consultants.
• Own the SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) module, managing Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis, mitigation controls, and emergency access (Firefighter).
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits, ensuring continuous compliance.
• Work with IT SAP project teams to embed the security requirements/design into all new SAP implementations, upgrades, and rollouts.
• Work with an offshore AMS security team on incidents, problems, role assignment.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

• 10+ years of experience in SAP Security and Authorisations, with multiple years managerial experience.
• Good experience with S/4HANA, Fiori, ECC, BW and SAP Public Cloud products like SuccessFactors, Concur, Ariba, Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, from a security perspective.
• Hands-on expertise with SAP GRC (Access Control and Process Control).
• Deep understanding of SAP security auditing tools.
• Deep understanding of internal and external audit processes including compliance knowledge, controls frameworks and risk management.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical risks to non-technical business stakeholders
