Nijhuis Saur Industries is one of the UK's leading Water Hygiene/Treatment Companies, providing cooling tower engineering and environmental solutions across the UK.

We are seeking Sampling Technicians on an ad-hoc basis. The Sampling Technicians will report to the Project Manager and will be responsible for carrying out sampling at wastewater treatment sites, bathing waters, and catchment rivers in accordance with company procedures. They will also deliver samples to laboratories and depots in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

1. Visit sampling locations to collect samples as per the schedule determined by the Project Manager.
2. Plan daily sampling routes to ensure cost-effectiveness and timeliness.
3. Collect samples following company, South West Water, and Environment Agency procedures.
4. Complete necessary paperwork, including sample sheets and calibration records.
5. Install and download temperature loggers, ensuring temperature ranges are maintained.
6. Perform sampling in accordance with Quality, Environmental, and H&S procedures.
7. Transport samples to laboratories following set protocols.
8. Maintain and clean sampling equipment and portable instruments.
9. Conduct routine calibration checks on instruments.
10. Assist with other field activities as needed.
