Government Recruitment Service is recruiting for a Salmonella Technical Officer based in Preston to support APHA's Salmonella strategy and NCP testing oversight. The role involves audits, reports and training across multiple sites, including travel to Weybridge and external locations.

The two-year fixed-term post requires coordination with UKAS, DALs and the NRL, with responsibility for quality assurance, reporting and ongoing improvements in ISO17025/ISO9001 practices.

Mansioni

• Provide external and internal auditing, training, and advisory services for APHA and DALs at multiple locations across the UK.
• Provide oversight of the performance of Defra-approved Salmonella testing laboratories, primarily those testing National Control Programme (NCP) samples under CSPO.
• Collate and analyse approved laboratory test data and quality assurance information, including proficiency testing performance.
