Job summary

• Proven track record leading complex Salesforce implementation or transformation programmes end to end.

• Demonstrable programme management experience including governance, delivery planning, risk management and dependency management.
• Experience leading internal teams and coordinating third‑party implementation partners.
• Confidence challenging systems integrators and business stakeholders to ensure effective delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management across business and technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and strengthen delivery of Salesforce Service Cloud and Field Service programmes.
• Review programme structure, identify delivery risks and implement governance and controls.
• Manage programme plans, milestones, dependencies, risks and delivery priorities.
• Lead and coordinate internal team of ~5 people and wider IT stakeholders/partners.
• Challenge the Salesforce implementation partner to ensure the right solution and outcomes.
• Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure the solution meets operational needs.
• Support a programme reset with a clear delivery roadmap and execution plan.
• Ensure alignment with wider technology strategy and business objectives.
• Drive process improvement and automation through Salesforce adoption.
• Manage transition risks when retiring legacy platforms.
• Ensure delivery against budgets, timelines and quality expectations.
• Provide clear programme-level reporting and escalation of issues.

Salesforce Programme Manager

12 month Contract | Hybrid Working (1 day a week on site) | Immediate Start

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Programme Manager to support a major Salesforce transformation programme, with a particular focus on Service Cloud and Field Service implementation.

The organisation has already progressed its Salesforce Sales Cloud solution into User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and is preparing to commence the Service and Field Service elements of the programme. They require an experienced programme leader to strengthen delivery governance, manage risk and dependencies, challenge delivery partners, and ensure the programme is structured to deliver the intended business outcomes.

This is a hands on programme leadership role, focused on people, processes, delivery and stakeholder management rather than detailed technical architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and strengthen the delivery of Salesforce Service Cloud and Field Service programmes.
• Review the existing programme structure, identify delivery risks and implement appropriate governance and controls.
• Manage programme plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and delivery priorities.
• Lead and coordinate an internal team of approximately five people, alongside wider IT stakeholders and third‑party delivery partners.
• Effectively manage and challenge the Salesforce implementation partner to ensure the right solution, delivery approach and outcomes.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to challenge assumptions, clarify requirements and ensure the solution supports operational needs.
• Support a programme reset, helping establish a clear delivery roadmap, vision and execution plan.
• Ensure Salesforce implementation aligns with the wider technology strategy and business objectives.
• Drive process improvement, automation and operational efficiencies through Salesforce adoption.
• Support the replacement and retirement of legacy platforms, managing associated transition risks.
• Ensure the programme delivers against agreed budgets, timelines and quality expectations.
• Provide clear programme‑level reporting, recommendations and escalation of key delivery issues.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience managing complex Salesforce implementation or transformation programmes end to end.
• Strong experience delivering Salesforce Service Cloud and/or Field Service programmes.
• Demonstrable programme management experience, including governance, delivery planning, risk management and dependency management.
• Experience leading internal teams and coordinating third‑party implementation partners.
• Confidence challenging systems integrators and business stakeholders to ensure effective delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate across business and technology teams.
• Experience reviewing and improving programme structures where delivery risks or challenges have been identified.
• A track record of delivering technology transformation, process improvement and legacy system replacement initiatives.
• Ability to mobilise quick
