The Portfolio Group is acting on behalf of its client to recruit a Salesforce Administrator for an office-based opportunity. The client is a growing business that relies on Salesforce to support its operations and connect teams with the information and tools they need. This role offers the opportunity to join a business that values effective systems, accurate data and responsive support. You will work with colleagues across the organisation to help ensure the Salesforce platform remains dependable, accessible and aligned with business needs.
As Salesforce Administrator, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management, maintenance and optimisation of the company's Salesforce platform. During your first 12 months, the main focus will be Business as Usual (BAU) administration and support. You will respond to user queries, investigate system issues and help colleagues use Salesforce effectively. As you become familiar with the platform and the business, there will be opportunities to contribute to enhancements, process improvements and wider Salesforce projects. This position will suit someone who enjoys hands-on technical support, practical problem solving and building positive working relationships with stakeholders.
You will bring previous experience as a Salesforce Administrator or in a comparable Salesforce support role, together with a sound understanding of Salesforce configuration and administration. You should be confident managing users, access controls, data and common platform features, and have experience responding to support requests and troubleshooting issues. Familiarity with Salesforce Flow, reports, dashboards and data management will be valuable. You will also be comfortable working with configuration elements such as custom objects, fields, page layouts, workflows and validation rules.
Clear communication is important, as you will work with both technical and non-technical colleagues to understand issues and explain solutions. We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, a methodical approach to resolving problems and the initiative to identify opportunities to improve the platform. A Salesforce Administrator certification would be advantageous, but relevant practical experience and a willingness to continue developing your expertise are also valued.
Provide day-to-day administration and BAU support for the Salesforce platform, responding to user questions and support tickets in a timely and professional manner. Investigate and resolve Salesforce issues, system errors and access problems, escalating more complex matters when appropriate. Create and maintain user accounts, permissions, profiles, roles and access controls in line with business requirements.
Help maintain the accuracy, consistency and integrity of Salesforce data. Create and update reports and dashboards to support business users, and maintain workflows, validation rules and automation as required. Assist with configuration changes involving custom objects, fields and page layouts. Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, assess potential solutions and improve Salesforce functionality. Support system testing, releases, upgrades and routine platform maintenance, and identify ways to streamline processes and improve the user experience.
This opportunity offers the chance to take ownership of important day-to-day Salesforce administration within a growing business. You will gain exposure to a range of teams and business functions, helping you develop a practical understanding of how Salesforce supports organisational needs. The role begins with a clear focus on BAU support, while providing scope to become involved in future platform enhancements and projects as your knowledge grows. You will also have the opportunity to strengthen your Salesforce administration skills in a supportive team environment and contribute ideas that make the platform more effective for its users.
