About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and customer-focused Internal Sales & Key Accounts Support professional to join a fast-paced and dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a sales-driven environment and enjoys delivering exceptional service to key clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming sales calls and enquiries
- Proactively engage existing customers to upsell and cross-sell products
- Process sales orders and respond to stock and delivery queries
- Resolve customer issues and complaints professionally and promptly
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with logistics to ensure timely deliveries
- Arrange haulage to meet customer requirements
- Report on shortages, delays, or lead-time concerns
- Assist Regional Sales Directors with planning and managing key accounts
- Work closely with clients to meet deadlines and service expectations
- Review and improve sales processes to enhance performance
Key Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a key account or internal sales role
- Experience with national accounts or buying groups is a plus
- Industry background in construction or merchant/distribution sector desirable
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Proactive and confident working independently
- Strong IT skills, especially with Microsoft Excel
Performance & Results Focus
- Support operational targets and KPIs alongside Regional Sales Directors
- Monitor performance and identify improvements to boost productivity and margins
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues
Customer Experience
- Promote a customer-first culture to ensure high satisfaction
- Implement and refine internal procedures to improve service delivery
Health & Safety / Compliance
- Adhere to all relevant health & safety procedures and company policies
- Ensure compliance with legislation and quality standards
