Job summary

Major Recruitment - Perm Manager seeks a Sales & Operations Coordinator in Sheffield to support the UK sales team with prompt customer responses and liaison across internal and external bodies. The role focuses on sales, hire, repairs, onsite testing and purchasing.

The position is permanent, 39 hours per week, with a Monday to Friday schedule. You will manage quotations, admin tasks, and customer relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the UK sales team by providing professional, prompt responses to customers and liaising with internal and external bodies.
• Produce quotations for hydraulic, pneumatic and electric tools & equipment for sales, repair, onsite testing & hire.
• Carry out administrative duties: raise sales & hire orders, create job estimates, update accounts.
• Provide technical and commercial support to customers to gain competitive advantage.
• Manage hire processes: quoting, tickets, stock allocation, despatch, invoicing, and aftercare.
• Spot opportunities to increase sales and perform proactive internal sales support.
• Liaise with suppliers to secure competitive resale prices to improve profitability.
• Process purchase orders for depots following supplier approval guidelines.
• Ensure quotations and requirements are organized and sales engineers are reminded to follow up.
• Maintain effective filing and administrative systems to support sales and record pending quotations.
