Job summary

Pertemps Leeds is seeking a confident Sales Advisor to join a small team and maximise sales through face-to-face customer interactions and upselling. The role combines sales with hands-on operational duties, including potential forklift work and site checks.

You will handle enquiries, advise on products, and build strong customer relationships while supporting day-to-day operations and administration. Weekend shifts may apply.

Responsibilities

• Deal with customer enquiries both face‑to‑face and over the telephone
• Understand customer requirements and provide appropriate advice on products and services
• Identify and maximise sales opportunities to achieve individual and business targets
• Build strong relationships with new and existing customers
• Complete administration accurately and in line with company procedures
• Operate a forklift as required - training can be given
• Carry out regular checks of the site and ensure standards are maintained
• Maintain a clean, tidy and professional working environment
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies
• Support with customer accounts and outstanding payments where required
• Work independently when required, including lone working
• Take responsibility for the site when required in the absence of management
• Assist with general operational and ad hoc duties
