The University of Leeds has made significant investments into its sporting facilities, currently serving approximately 17,000 members. Facilities include a 25-metre 8-lane swimming pool, sauna, steam room, 250-station fitness suite, 150 classes per week across 3 dedicated studios, an indoor climbing wall, squash courts, and indoor sports halls.
You will manage the activities of the sales and marketing team, including creating and implementing the membership sales strategy, planning, and delivering marketing initiatives to meet targets. You will contribute to the wider marketing program for Sport & Physical Activity, evaluate the impact of activities, and support the general operation of the service.
You will plan and coordinate the delivery of the retention strategy, advising senior managers on best practices and implementing new programs to improve membership retention.
You will oversee membership fee collection, including conducting direct debit runs and handling late or outstanding payments.
You will oversee marketing and communication campaigns aligned with the University strategy for Sport & Physical Activity.
This role may require occasional weekend and evening work, such as during University Open Days and Welcome Week.
