Salary: Competitive
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Working hours: 37.5 hours, Mon-Fri, 8am-4.30pm

We’re looking for a self-motivated and persuasive Sales Manager, ideally with a quarrying industry background, to build on Pete’s legacy (he’s retiring) and drive growth of Grundon Sand & Gravel sales as the business expands. So, if you’re a natural negotiator with the experience to manage a three-strong sales team and enthusiasm to build your knowledge of path gravels through to rockery stones and shingle supplied to the construction, landscaping, gardening, leisure and golf markets, then grab this opportunity to carve out the next stage of your career.

What you’ll be doing as Sales Manager
The four quarries in our Southern England operating area supply sand and recycled and natural aggregates to members of the public right through to multi-national companies. As Sales Manager, based out of Beenham in Berkshire, you will manage all aspects of new and existing accounts from initial sale through to delivery and beyond, securing long-term relationships and repeat business within a competitive market. Cold-calling potential new clients, identifying new opportunities and market requirements, and monthly reports are all part of the job.

What we're looking for in our Sales Manager
Great communication, computer (including databases) and time-management skills go with the sales territory, and a full valid driving licence is a must too.
