Job summary

Eastern Western Motor Group, a leading automotive business in Scotland, is seeking a dynamic Sales leader to drive strategy and market research while building a high-performing team across multiple brands.

You will manage inventory, control costs, and ensure exceptional customer service. The role involves overseeing administration, invoicing, and headcount planning with senior leadership to meet performance targets.

Qualifications

• Must be able to develop and implement sales, merchandising, and promotional plans based on market research.
• Oversee colleague engagement, training, and health & safety compliance.
• Experience in managing vehicle inventory and controlling costs to drive profitability.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer care across the sales department.

Job description

• Sales Strategy & Market Research: Develop and implement effective sales, merchandising, and promotional plans, based on ongoing market research to assess product and service trends.
• Team Management & Development: Oversee colleague engagement, job descriptions, training, and health & safety, ensuring effective team performance and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Inventory & Financial Control: Manage vehicle inventory and purchase used vehicles within stock limits, maintaining regular inspections and controlling expenses to achieve profitability.
• Customer Care & Service Excellence: Foster a culture of customer care in the Sales department, ensuring a consistently high level of service for all customers.
• Administrative Efficiency & Compliance: Ensure smooth administration systems, oversee invoicing, manage headcount plans, and consult with the General Manager on legal contracts and performance targets.
